In the context of the road trip, there are many things need to be considered especially onboarding with family. Safety, comfort, space for cargo, and so on. We ideated a virtual showroom where all family members gather around in the virtual space and simulate the journey before renting a car. With the concept, this is a prototype of a virtual showroom where not only comparing and showcasing the cars but to adjust the interior space and arrange the cargo space ahead of the journey.
VR Garage is a digital space that enables users to browse and explore vehicles providing better travel planning experience.
PLANNING A FAMILY ROAD TRIP
HEADSET FOLLOWING MENU
The main navigation is toggled on and off by the controller and follows the user’s head orientation. The headset menu helps users to easily access the menu while making actions in VR space.
INTERACTABLE OBJECTS
Users can scan their luggage and import it into the VR space. Imported objects become interactable allowing the user to grab and quickly arrange them in the cargo space.
TELEPORT POINTS
Moving around in VR space can be difficult. The teleport points signify where the actions can be made and also help users locate themselves in the right position.
SNAP DROP ZONE
Snap Drop Zone is a fixed position for objects to be placed. It helps users to easily understand where to drop objects.
